Hey guys, as one of the writers here at Singles Corner, I always advise men to “ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS.”  If you walk up to a girl, don’t tell her something…no matter how slick you may think it is; instead, ask her a question: “What’s your name? Where are you from? Where do you study?” Whatever, you get the point.

It’s all about keeping the conversation rolling and giving her the impression that you’re both “genuinely” getting to know each other better that matters.  This way, eventually, when you have to go your separate ways, you should get the answer to the one question you really are seeking: “Can I get you number?”

Here’s another tip: “Don’t call too soon.”  Regardless of what women may say to you about it being OK to call the next day or the same night, DON’T.  The reality of calling too soon is that you seem desperate.  A cool guy that chicks are going to want to date doesn’t chase too hard.  The impression should be that he’s busy with other aspect of his life: work or school, etc.  Also, when you do call, have an idea of what kind of message you’re going to leave, in case she doesn’t pick up.  The last thing you want to do is stumble on words and come across uncool on a message.  KEEP IT SHORT & SWEET.

“Hey, I was thinking of you; so, I gave you a call.  Anyway, I hope everything is good with you.  Give me a call when you can.  My number is _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (Always remember to leave your number, calling back to drop it make you look like a major dork).  Look forward to hearing from you. Take care.”
