What Do Women Want Out of Erotica or Pornography?
The new magazine, “Filament,” challenges the pre-conceived notions out there that women are looking for the same thing men are – purely, sexually driven images. Unlike Playgirl, which ceased printing in November last year, Filament magazine is taking a different approach. It can only be described as a sort of sophisticated Maxim, but for women.
The reality of it is that women have never been very big into purchasing hardcore porn. As a matter of fact, previous attempts like Penthouse’s “For Women” have failed miserably. Filament Magazine’s Editor Suraya Singh and many agree that previous publications didn’t appeal in any way to the more subtle psychological triggers that arouse women.
