3 Secret Tips To Writing A Killer Online Dating Profile.

No matter what dating site you use, whether it be you’re only as successful as your profile. In the information age, we no longer rely on friends setting us up on blind dates, we have the internet which is so much better – you get to scope out your potential target way before you meet in person.

However online dating does have One Golden Rule“She that has the greatest personal profile wins.” Now before you go out throwing together a profile like you’re throwing together a Halloween costume, remember you’re really trying not to scare your potential date. There are rules to follow, rules that if followed correctly will help you weed out all the losers and time wasters.

Tip 1: Be Blatantly Honest – honest to a fault, the more open you can be about who you are and what you want the easier it will be to find that perfect match.

Tip 2: Recent Photos Only – We’ve all been deceived by the pictures in Realtor magazines of young attractive, vibrant agents only to be met by someone 30 years older (Deceptive Glamour shots). Recent photos within the last 60 -90 days will help give your potential match an idea of their attraction level before you meet.

Tip 3: User Name Is King – There is a lot to be said about a user name, since your photo can be  seen by others, it’s one of the first impressions they make of you. They form opinions about you, the kind of person you are – needy, sexual, psycho, fun or even serious. So my advise is to avoid user names that give you a negative profile image i.e. “lonelygirl”, “dieforyou” or “sexualchick”, unless that’s what you’re looking for.

Another thing, never upload a photo(s) that shows you in a compromising position – you’ve probably seen a few on Facebook or Myspace – where people you know are drinking having fun and oops having a wardrobe malfunction in the process – not good, and YES, dressing like a cheap trick is definitely out, unless you’re only in the hookup business.

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

Online Dating profile works if you upload your gorgeous shot. One more thing, make sure your online profile is well written so that it will standout in the crowd and draw avalanche of responses from potential mates.

  2. rich9g Says:

Dating profiles for women should be a bit detailed. show that you care. for men it should be a bit vague because women always assume men are needy so the non interested cool guy thing works.
